I've been wanting and waiting to make this fragrance for quite a long time. Now that it's done, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long!! It smells amazing. A-mazing! Truly! I love mints ~ all of 'em. Spearmint, peppermint, catnip, and even the feral dog mint we get out here in Wyoming smells good to me. And lime is always fresh and uplifting to my nose and spirit. The combination is fabulous!

Coconut milk is some super amazing stuff too. I cook with it. I make soap with it. In soaps, it's super moisturizing and has the creamiest lather. I love it.

I also threw in some French green clay to both color my soap and anchor the essential oils, and it adds a silky feel to the slide of this soap. I think you'll like it!

Introducing Playne Jayne Soap!

My chidrens (yeah, I spelled it wrong - pronounced CHID-rens) love "Firefly," which if you haven't seen it or watched the entire series in one 24-hour period, then you've got some 'splainin' to do! It's a sci-fi western, just in case you haven't seen it yet. One of the character's name is Jayne. He's a tough macho gorilla kind of guy - all brawn, very little brains, you've met the type... I digress. Sort of. Actually, Jayne's name is the inspiration for the spelling of Playne Jayne.

What is Playne Jayne? Soap. Pure and simple. Mostly. I've created a new recipe using some of my favorites ~ shea butter, avocado oil, rice bran and olive oil are among the cast. This is a coconut milk soap. I wanted rich creamy lather, lots of moisturizing and nothing extra. No fragrance or color has been added, and no scrubbies. As much as I love scrubby soaps, sometimes it's pure bliss to have a soap without.

Vintage Rose Coconut Milk Soap and New Baby

Coconut milk. Amazing stuff. Mostly I want to eat it. It's delicious! But in a soap? Oh, yeah. It's amazing. Creamy, dreamy, absolute bliss.

Keeping in the spring mode of soaping (spring is so on my mind), I've created this lovely Vintage Rose Coconut Milk Soap. It's a bit challenged in the swirls department, but then that may be because I am. Challenged at swirls, that is.

True to life, this fragrance is romantic, sensual, enchanting, and uplifting. It's very girly, which is a good thing. Embrace the girl!

One other new and exciting tidbit I must share... Mrs Lilly had her colt on Saturday! What an exciting day for all of us! She waited for the coldest night in the last week and dropped that foal without any help. In the morning, we had a wonderful surprise, and both mom and baby are doing well. Isn't he cute? Or maybe he's a she? The missus won't let us get close enough to peek under her skirt yet.

Something Old, Something New

With spring acting like spring for once (I say that because in Wyoming, spring tends to be a bit muddled - mostly it's winter with a tease of warmer weather), I've been thinking about weddings and spring flowers and wanting to add something new to my products line in both fragrance and content. 

Today, in the soap pot, I've got two lovely fragrances.  One is Honey Pear, which is delightful, fresh, has a touch of melons, green apples, pear, and definitely honey.  I like it a lot.  A whole lot! And I've put it in a new soap recipe using goat milk. 

Goat milk is mild, soothing, and wonderful to your skin.  It's different enough that you'll notice the very first time you use it.  It makes a great soap for your face, too. 

My second new and old theme in the soap pot today is a coconut milk soap fragranced with lilac.  It smells like spring here!

Both soaps are lightly fragranced, good for your skin, and lovely.  They'll be ready in about three weeks.
